West Platte had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They snuck past Cameron with a 62-58 victory two weeks ago.

Meanwhile, a win for Lawson just wasn't in the cards on Thursday as the team wasn't able to take the lead at any point. They came up short against Lafayette County, falling 61-41. The Cardinals haven't had much luck with the Huskers recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Isaac Willoughby, who went 6 for 12 en route to 13 points plus five rebounds and two steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season.
