Volleyball Recap: Point Pleasant Takes a Loss

If Point Pleasant was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Lincoln County on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Big Blacks lost 3-0 to the South Charleston Black Eagles on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Black Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 last Tuesday.

Chloe Patrick paced Point Pleasant's offense, picking up 11 kills. Patrick got some help from Ava Riffle and her 22 assists. Lyndee Taylor controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Point Pleasant has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 20-22-1 record this season. As for South Charleston, their win bumped their record up to 24-21-2.

Point Pleasant does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for South Charleston, they have already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Spring Valley on the 3rd.
