Softball Recap: North Stokes Comes Up Short

If North Stokes was feeling good fresh off their 13-4 takedown of South Davidson on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Vikings came up short against the South Stokes Sauras on Wednesday, falling 14-8. The Vikings haven't had much luck with the Sauras recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Emma James made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. Rosalyn Mitchell was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

North Stokes' defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for South Stokes, they now have a winning record of 11-10.

As of now, neither North Stokes nor the Sauras have any future games scheduled.
