            The Tates Creek Commodores will face off against the Greenup County Musketeers at 7:45  p.m.  on Friday. Tates Creek is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.1  runs per game  this season.
Tates Creek is headed into Friday's   matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game  on Thursday. They came up short against  Lafayette, falling  9-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest  loss the Commodores have suffered  since May 10, 2024.
 Tates Creek saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Madison Bowman, who  went 1-for-2 with one  run and one  RBI.
 Meanwhile, Greenup County fought the good fight in their extra-innings  game against Raceland  on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took  a  5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rams.
 Tates Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Greenup County, their  loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 19-4.
