 Three Rivers is 8-0 against Yorktown since February of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Thursday. The Three Rivers Bulldogs will head out on the road to  take on  the Yorktown Wildcats at 6:00  p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Three Rivers has 11 straight  victories, Yorktown has five straight  defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
 Last Friday,  it was close, but  Three Rivers sidestepped Kenedy for  a  10-9 win.
  Sofia Alvarado and  Alyson Gomez made a splash while hitting and pitching. Alvarado has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in five consecutive pitching appearances. At bat,  Alvarado  went 2-for-5 with two  stolen bases, a  double,  and  an  RBI, while  Gomez  scored two  runs.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Amyah Ortiz-Lozano, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in four of her five plate appearances.  Meanwhile, Yorktown fell victim to a  tough 18-3 loss at the hands of Kenedy  on Tuesday. That's two games in a row now that Yorktown has lost by  exactly 15  runs.
 Yorktown saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Kaylor Carriger, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-2.
 Three Rivers has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 17 of their last 18 contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 21-3 record  this season. As for Yorktown, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-13.
 Yorktown's hitters will have their work cut out for them  on Thursday. Three Rivers has been retiring batters left and right this season,  having  averaged 6.9  strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Yorktown, though, as  they've been averaging  only 3.4. Will Three Rivers keep running through batters, or will Yorktown buck the trend?
 Everything went Three Rivers' way against Yorktown in their previous meeting  on March 5th as Three Rivers made off with  a  10-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Three Rivers since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
