Basketball Recap: Southern Guilford Takes a Loss

Southern Guilford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 75-63 to the Southwest Guilford Cowboys. The Storm lost against the Cowboys in their previous head to head back in December of 2019, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 84-43 score last time.

Southern Guilford's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Southwest Guilford, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southern Guilford will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Atkins at 8:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Southwest Guilford, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against High Point Central at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. High Point Central will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Southwest Guilford surely won't give up without a fight.
