Basketball Recap: Lebanon Takes a Loss

Lebanon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were dealt an 85-52 loss at the hands of the Okawville Rockets. The Greyhounds were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rockets apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Despite the loss, Lebanon saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kyle Noud posted 15 points. Another player making a difference was Deion Washington, who put up ten points.

Lebanon's defeat dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Okawville, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-13.

Lebanon has already played their next match (against Marissa/Coulterville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Okawville will take on Freeburg at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Okawville's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games.
