Preview: Medicine Lodge vs. Oxford
On Friday Oxford take on Medicine Lodge at 7:00 PM. Coming off of a loss in a game they were expected to win, Oxford now face the more daunting task of proving themselves against unfavorable odds.
Oxford came up short against Flinthills last week, falling 20-34.
Meanwhile, Medicine Lodge made easy work of South Gray and carried off a 53-22 win. Medicine Lodge were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Medicine Lodge's victory lifted them to 2-1 while Oxford's defeat dropped them down to 0-3. In Medicine Lodge's victory, senior Garrett Burden passed for 220 yards and 4 touchdowns and senior Dakota Bayliff caught passes for 144 yards and punched in 2 rushing TDs. We'll see if Oxford have a strategy for dealing with them or if they lead their team to another successful outing.
