Baseball Recap: Spoto Takes a Loss

Spoto and East Bay squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Spoto had to settle for second. They came up short against the Indians, falling 10-3. The Spartans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Indians earlier this season, when they won 6-3.

Devin Dukes made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two runs and one double. Spoto is 6-1 when Dukes posts two or more runs, but 6-13 otherwise. David Ruiz Jr was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Spoto's loss dropped their record down to 12-14. As for East Bay, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 14-11.

As of now, neither Spoto nor the Indians have any future games scheduled.
