Okemos entered their tilt with Swartz Creek on Saturday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Dragons.

Erik Howe paced Okemos' offense, picking up six kills. Howe got some help from Gavin Freidhoff and his 14 assists. Howe was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.

Okemos' victory bumped their record up to 16-10-2.

Okemos has already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Lakeland on the 3rd. As for Swartz Creek, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Lake Orion at 6:00 p.m. on the 19th.
