Baseball Preview: Crawfordsville Athenians vs. Park Tudor Panthers

The Crawfordsville Athenians will head out on the road to take on the Park Tudor Panthers at 11:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Crawfordsville's hitters will try to repeat the strong performance they gave on Thursday, when they got past North Montgomery's usually-dominant pitching crew. Everything went Crawfordsville's way against North Montgomery as Crawfordsville made off with a 12-2 victory. The win was familiar territory for Crawfordsville who now have three in a row.

Jude Coursey was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over 5.2 innings pitched. Coursey was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.

In other batting news, Wyatt Motz was excellent, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. Mason Mccarty was another key contributor, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Park Tudor has not done well against Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory recently (they were 0-7 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Park Tudor put the hurt on Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory with a sharp 9-3 victory.
