Baseball Recap: Ballard Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against South Oldham, Ballard was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Atherton Ravens a 14-0 shutout. The Bruins haven't had any issues with the Ravens recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Ballard's record now sits at 12-7. As for Atherton, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-6.

Looking ahead, Ballard will head out on the road to square off against North Oldham at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Mustangs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Bruins' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Atherton, they will host Trinity at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
