Desert Mountain came out on top against Willow Canyon on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fourth inning. The Wolves walked away with a 7-2 victory over the Wildcats. The win continues a trend for the Wolves in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won seven in a row.

Lilly 'Goose' Goodwin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on seven hits and racked up 15 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 14 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Gabby Borovansky was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Avery Gehrke, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Desert Mountain's victory bumped their record up to 17-2-1. As for Willow Canyon, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-7.
