Volleyball Recap: Bella Jaqua's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Savannah Arts Academy over Effingham County + How To Watch

Savannah Arts Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Effingham County Rebels. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Rebels earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:two sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 26-24.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Bella Jaqua, who had six digs and two aces.

Savannah Arts Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 11-20. As for Effingham County, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-17 record this season.

Savannah Arts Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Elite Scholars Academy on the 27th. As for Effingham County, they will square off against Savannah Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
