Dudley had lost four straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 3-14 to make it five. They lost 20-3 to the Grimsley Whirlies. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 7-6 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2023.

As for Grimsley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-3. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by seven runs or more this season.

On Grimsley's side, Tai Richmond made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
