Baseball Game Preview: Luling Eagles vs. Goliad Tigers

Luling is on a four-game streak of home losses, and Goliad a four-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Luling Eagles will welcome the Goliad Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Luling has given up an average of 12.1 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Luling managed to slip by Poth the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Luling lost 15-2 to Poth on Friday.

Luling saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kade Samuelson, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI. That triple marked the first that Samuelson hit this season.

Meanwhile, Goliad came up short against Sinton on Saturday and fell 8-4.

Luling's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Goliad, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.

Luling beat Goliad 7-2 in their previous matchup back in April of 2016. Will Luling repeat their success, or does Goliad has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
