Volleyball Recap: Franklin Now 8-1 over Last Nine Games

It's playoff time, and Franklin had no trouble coming through when it counted. They put the hurt on the South Milwaukee Rockets with a sharp 3-0 win on Saturday. The Sabers not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since September 30th (when they won 3-0).

The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-10, 25-20.

Franklin got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jasmine Meyer out in front who had 14 digs and four aces. What's more, Meyer racked up seven assists, the most she's had over her last eight matchups. Another player making a difference was Macie Keller, who had five digs and two aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Franklin was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 18 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in five consecutive contests.

Franklin has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-21 record this season. As for South Milwaukee, with the loss, they broke their four-match winning streak and moved their record to 20-17.

Franklin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for South Milwaukee, they will head out to square off against Greenfield at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
