Baseball Recap: Ballard Takes a Loss

Ballard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the North Polk Comets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Comets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-1 on Tuesday.

Ballard's loss dropped their record down to 16-5. As for North Polk, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-9.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Ballard will face off against rival Winterset at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, North Polk is set to take on their familiar foe Boone at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
