Basketball Recap: Whitewater Takes a Loss

Whitewater was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 62-61 heartbreaker at the hands of the LaGrange Grangers. The Wildcats were up 35-19 in the second quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Whitewater's loss dropped their record down to 12-12. As for LaGrange, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-9.

Whitewater and Fayette County will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played. Whitewater knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Fayette County likes a good challenge. As for LaGrange, they will take on Trinity Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Trinity Christian has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 208 points over their last three games.
