Puyallup has gone a perfect 3-0 against Fife recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Vikings will head out to take on the Trojans at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Puyallup took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They blew past Bethel 17-1.
Kiera Thomas made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Thomas was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-4. That's the most home runs she has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kayla Ringenbach, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. Another player making a difference was Paisley Jamison, who scored three runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
Puyallup always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .576. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Fife made easy work of Steilacoom on Tuesday and carried off a 20-6 victory. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by 14 runs or more this season.
Fife got a massive performance out of Sophia Payne, who scored four runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Hailey Ufer, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple.
Fife has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.5 runs over those games. As for Puyallup, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
Puyallup took their win against Fife in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 15-3 score. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Trojans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
