Recap: Frederick Golden Eagles vs. Vista PEAK Prep Bison
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Frederick Golden Eagles walked away with it. They strolled past the Bison with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 51-32. The victory was familiar territory for Frederick who now have six in a row.
Leading Frederick to victory were Peyton Pack and Zoe Wittler. Pack scored 14 points, while Wittler scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Wittler is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. Despite the loss, Vista PEAK Prep had strong showings from Knakai Starks, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and two blocks, and Eianna Jackson, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and two steals. Jackson has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played.
Vista PEAK Prep struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Frederick pulled down 12 offensive rebounds.
Frederick has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 16 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season. As for Vista PEAK Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-7.
