Softball Game Preview: Marshfield Tigers vs. Hudson Raiders

The Marshfield Tigers will head out to face off against the Hudson Raiders at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Marshfield 3.7, Hudson 4) so any runs scored will be well earned.

It was a proper cat-fight when Marshfield took on Stevens Point on Thursday. The Tigers fell 9-4 to the Panthers. The Tigers' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Hudson waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They blew past the Warriors 12-2. Considering the Raiders have won seven contests by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Hudson's victory bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Marshfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-6.

Marshfield couldn't quite finish off Hudson in their previous matchup back in May of 2025 and fell 2-0. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
