Carter Flavelle and Rayden Waletko made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Flavelle tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits. Meanwhile, Waletko kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. What's more, Flavelle posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March. At bat, Flavelle went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one double, while Waletko went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Babcock is undefeated when Waletko posts three or more hits, but 5-13 otherwise.

Cooper got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base, while Hunter went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double. Cooper is becoming a predictor of Babcock's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 5-2 (and 4-11 when he doesn't).
Babcock is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-13 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Golden Gate, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-14.
