Softball Recap: Mid-Buchanan Dragons vs. Lafayette Fighting Irish

Mid-Buchanan put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Lafayette Fighting Irish 12-6. The Dragons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by six runs or more this season.

Dru Pearson made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched an inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Pearson was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.

In other pitching news, Ellason Lisenbee looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched.

Back at the plate, Sophia Smith was incredible, going 2-for-4 with a home run, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Lindy Eaton, who scored a run while going 2-for-5.

Mid-Buchanan pushed their record up to 7-0 with that victory, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Lafayette, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
