Tehachapi had to settle for second on Tuesday, but Cadence McIrvin sure wasn't going down easily. Despite the loss, McIrvin was still locked in as she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 14 over six innings pitched. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in strikeouts.

Coming up, McIrvin and Tehachapi will square off against Independence at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. Tehachapi has some work to do to even out the 2-8 series between these two since April of 2017, but a win here would be a good start.
