Concordia faced Warsaw in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Fighting Orioles had just enough and edged out the Wildcats 1-0. The win was familiar territory for the Fighting Orioles, who have now won six matches in a row.

Not much got past Olivia Hemme, who gave up just three hits and racked up 16 Ks to keep Warsaw off the board. Hemme has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Concordia saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kynleigh Abney, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Concordia's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-4. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Warsaw, they moved to 17-2 with that defeat, which also ended their 16-game winning streak.

Concordia does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Warsaw, they will take on Tipton at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
