Softball Game Preview: Marion Harding Presidents vs. Clear Fork Colts

For the second straight game, Marion Harding will face off against Clear Fork. The Presidents will venture away from home to take on the Colts at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Marion Harding has given up an average of 12.5 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Marion Harding had been on a four-game streak of scoring at least ten runs, but Clear Fork put an end to it on Tuesday. The Presidents came up short against the Colts, falling 19-1. The Presidents' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

For Clear Fork's part, Presley Lilly made a big impact no matter where she played. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. The dominant performance also gave Lilly a new career-high in strikeouts (three). She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Hailly Thrush was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs.
