Volleyball Recap: Peotone Blue Devils vs. Pontiac Indians
Peotone and Pontiac squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Peotone had to settle for second. They fell 2-0 to the Indians. The Blue Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Indians apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
Despite the defeat, Peotone saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ella Stupegia had 12 digs and one assist.
Pontiac was led to victory by Araceli Serna and Izzy Hinz. Serna had ten digs and one assist, while Hinz had seven digs and two aces. Serna is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last four games she's played.
Peotone's loss dropped their record down to 20-14. As for Pontiac, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-8 record this season.
As of now, neither Peotone nor Pontiac have any future games scheduled.
