Baseball Recap: Centennial Beats Summit for Their Third Straight Victory

Centennial had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Summit Spartans. The Cougars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Spartans, too.

Centennial got a great performance from Miller Kline as he didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Centennial's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Luke Dennis, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. That's the most hits Dennis has posted over his last ten games.

Centennial's victory bumped their record up to 12-16. As for Summit, their loss dropped their record down to 15-11.

Centennial will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Spartans: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
