Softball Recap: Cooper Triumphs

While Cooper's win against Memorial wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cougars narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Mavericks 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Cougars have posted since February 22nd.

Maddie Fry spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on seven hits.

Cooper's victory bumped their record up to 14-11. As for Memorial, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-18.

Coincidentally, Cooper and Memorial will both be playing Legacy the next time they take the field. The Mavericks will host the Leopards at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Cougars will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
