Soccer Recap: Union Pines Takes a Loss

Union Pines lost against West Johnston back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Vikings fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 1-0. The game got a bit rough at times, as the refs handed out a total of four yellow cards before it was all over.

This is the second loss in a row for Union Pines and nudges their season record down to 4-10. As for West Johnston, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-9-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Union Pines will challenge rival South Johnston at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, West Johnston is set to square off against their familiar foe Lee County at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
