Soccer Game Preview: Allen vs. McKinney Boyd

The Allen Eagles will head out to challenge the McKinney Boyd Broncos at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Allen's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Allen fell victim to Prosper and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles.

Meanwhile, McKinney Boyd hasn't lost a match since January 3rd, a trend which continued in their latest game on Tuesday. Neither they nor McKinney could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 3-3 draw.

Allen now has a losing record at 3-4-3. McKinney Boyd's draw gives them a new season record of 5-2-3.

Allen was able to grind out a solid victory over McKinney Boyd in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Allen since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
