Basketball Recap: North Forest Comes Up Short

After soaring to 62 points the game before, North Forest was a bit more limited in their match on Friday. They were beaten by the Wheatley Wildcats 61-14. The contest marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Jamie Solomon was her usual excellent self, going 8 for 12 from beyond the arc on her way to 33 points and three steals for Wheatley. Solomon's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Caria Thomas, who almost dropped a triple-double on nine points, nine boards, and nine assists.

North Forest dropped their record down to 6-7 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Wheatley, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-2.

North Forest will challenge Kashmere at 11:15 a.m. on January 18th. As for Wheatley, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Wheatley Wildcats duke it out with the Yates Lions at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Wheatley is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 64.1 points per game this season.
