Basketball Recap: Granger Takes a Loss

Granger was the 69-31 winner over Yakama Nation Tribal when they last played one another back in December of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Granger Spartans were beaten by the Yakama Nation Tribal Eagles 57-19 on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 342nd, while the Eagles are ranked 169th).

Granger dropped their record down to 2-13 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Yakama Nation Tribal, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-3.

Granger will challenge Mabton at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Mabton will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something Granger surely won't give up without a fight. As for Yakama Nation Tribal, they will face off against Prescott at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Yakama Nation Tribal is facing Prescott at the right time seeing as Prescott is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
