 Friday just wasn't the day for Kelso's offense. They fell just short of the Timberline Blazers by a score of  1-0 on Friday. It was the first time  this season that Kelso let down their fans at home.
 For Timberline's part,  the team  relied heavily on  Gage Reeser, who  went 1-for-2 with a  home run.
 Kelso's defeat  ended  a  six-game streak of wins at home  dating back to last season and  dropped them to 10-2. As for Timberline, the  win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-5.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kelso will  take on Union at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Timberline, they will head out on the road to  challenge  North Thurston at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Timberline's pitching crew has only allowed 2.8  runs per game  this season, so North Thurston's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
