Baseball Recap: Monday's Victory Is Forest Hills' Third in Last Four Outings

Forest Hills lost to Somerset back in April of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Rangers came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 5-1.

Chase Williamson made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Williamson was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.

Williamson wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Xander Richardson, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Forest Hills is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. Having lost for the first time this season, Somerset fell to 9-1.

Coincidentally, Forest Hills and Somerset will both be playing Bishop Carroll the next time they take the field. The Rangers will host the Huskies at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Eagles will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
