Preview: Northmor Golden Knights vs. Mt. Gilead Indians
Northmor has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Mt. Gilead Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though Northmor has not done well against Centerburg recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Northmor can attribute much of their success to Drew Hammond, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 16 rebounds, and Grant Bentley, who scored 24 points. Hammond continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryson Keirns, who scored five points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, the stars were shining brightly for Mt. Gilead in a 55-37 win over Danville on Friday. That looming 55-37 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Mt. Gilead yet this season.
