Soccer Game Preview: Oceanside vs. El Camino

The Oceanside Pirates will take on the El Camino Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. El Camino took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Oceanside, who comes in off a win.

Oceanside is headed into the match without a loss and will look to keep things rolling. They came out on top against San Pasqual by a score of 3-1 on Monday. The Pirates better thank their lucky stars for the performance of Tristan Martinez, as he scored every single goal for his team.

Meanwhile, El Camino came up short against Poway two weeks ago and fell 3-1. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 639th, while the Titans are ranked 34th).

Oceanside's victory bumped their record up to 6-0-1. As for El Camino, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 1-4-2 record this season.

Oceanside took their win against El Camino in their previous meeting back in January of 2024 by a conclusive 6-0. Will Oceanside repeat their success, or does El Camino have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
