Softball Recap: Shadle Park Takes a Loss

If Shadle Park was feeling good fresh off their 16-3 takedown of Ridgeline on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Highlanders came up short against the University Titans on Friday, falling 16-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Highlanders in their meetings with the Titans: they've now lost five in a row.

Shadle Park's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for University, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-4.

Shadle Park and University could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings. The Highlanders will square off against Mead at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (168 vs. 23). Meanwhile, University (ranked 65th) will meet Mt. Spokane (ranked seventh) at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
