Basketball Recap: Northfield Mount Hermon Gets the Win

On Saturday, the Northfield Mount Hermon Hoggers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 45-42 win over Ethel Walker. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hoggers.

When it comes to explaining why Ethel Walker lost, don't look at Liana Salamone. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 14 points and 18 rebounds. With that strong performance, Salamone is now averaging an impressive 8.4 boards per game. Lily Wry was another key player, putting up six points.

Northfield Mount Hermon's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Ethel Walker, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season.

Looking ahead, Northfield Mount Hermon will head out to challenge Choate Rosemary Hall School at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Ethel Walker, they will challenge Taft School at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
