Basketball Recap: McGregor Comes Up Short

McGregor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 50-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hill City/Northland. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mercuries of the 70-56 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

McGregor's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Hill City/Northland, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-7.

McGregor will take on North Woods at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Hill City/Northland has already played their next game (against Nashwauk-Keewatin), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
