Basketball Recap: Jackson Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Jackson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 48-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the American Patriots. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Generals of the 55-47 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2021.

When it comes to explaining why Jackson lost, don't look at Jordany Fils-Aime. Despite the final result, he went 6 of 12 en route to 16 points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Daniel Regeste, who posted nine points and six rebounds.

Among those leading the charge was Jonathan Garcia, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 17 points and five assists. He is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Castin, who had six points along with eight boards and three steals.

Jackson's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-6. As for American, their victory bumped their record up to 10-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jackson will head out to square off against Belen Jesuit at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Jackson is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.8 points per game this season. As for American, they will venture away from home to challenge St. Brendan at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. American also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 59.3 points per game.
