Volleyball Recap: Watsonville Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If Watsonville was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Greenfield on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wildcatz lost 3-0 to the Stevenson Pirates on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Wildcatz have suffered against the Pirates since October 25, 2022.

While Watsonville was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Stevenson's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-11, 25-23.

The defeat snapped Watsonville's winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 6-15 record. As for Stevenson, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.

Coincidentally, Watsonville and Stevenson will both be playing Alisal the next time they take the court. The Wildcatz will head out to face the Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Pirates will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
