Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Galena walked away with it. They came out on top against the Lena-Winslow Panthers by a score of 2-0 on Wednesday. The Pirates haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Galena's offense was headlined by Mya McCoy and Kendra Bauer, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Emma Ehrler and her 33 assists.

Galena's victory bumped their record up to 29-6. As for Lena-Winslow, their loss dropped their record down to 21-15.

Coming up, Galena will square off against Eastland at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lena-Winslow does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
