Colorado Springs Christian waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Ellicott Thunderhawks 3-0. The Lions have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Thunderhawks, too.

While Colorado Springs Christian won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-23, 25-7.

Colorado Springs Christian can attribute much of their success to Lily Riker, who had seven digs and two aces. Those two aces gave Riker a new career-high.

Riker wasn't the only good servers: Colorado Springs Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 21 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

The victory got Colorado Springs Christian back to even at 10-10. As for Ellicott, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-20.

As of now, neither Colorado Springs Christian nor the Thunderhawks have any future games scheduled.
