Football Recap: McDowell Takes a Loss + How To Watch

McDowell played a tough match on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 42-12 loss at the hands of the Mentor Cardinals. If the Trojans were looking for revenge after losing 50-14 to the Cardinals when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Jackson Farley had a dynamite game For Mentor., rushing for 244 yards and three scores on only nine carries. Farley really tore up the turf during one magnificent 79-yard run. Brogan Jones was another key player, throwing for 202 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 16 passes.

McDowell's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Mentor, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McDowell will head out to take on Chardon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mentor, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Brunswick at 7:00 p.m. on the 12th.
