Basketball Game Preview: Arvin Bears vs. Del Oro Suns

Arvin has gone 3-0 against Del Oro recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Arvin Bears will challenge the Del Oro Suns at 6:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Arvin comes in on five and Del Oro on seven.

Arvin will bounce into Wednesday's game after beating Mira Monte, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Arvin came out on top against Mira Monte by a score of 45-36 on Wednesday.

Arvin got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Miguel Damian out in front who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Damian a new career-high in steals (four). Xzavier Pierson-Brooks was another key player, putting up 13 points along with seven boards and three steals.

Meanwhile, Del Oro beat Delano 58-46 on Monday.

Del Oro's win came from a few key players Arvin will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Gabriel Bocardo, who posted 17 points. Another player making a difference was Keenan Starling, who made all 5 shots he took for 13 points.

Arvin pushed their record up to 17-4 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.5 points per game. As for Del Oro, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a massive bump to their 15-8 record this season.

Arvin didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Del Oro in their previous matchup on January 10th, but they still walked away with a 55-49 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Arvin since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
