Basketball Recap: Jase Ferguson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Clarion-Limestone over Redbank Valley

Clarion-Limestone lost against Redbank Valley two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Clarion-Limestone Lions came up short against the Redbank Valley Bulldogs, falling 55-29. The game marked the Lions' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Clarion-Limestone lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jase Ferguson, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten boards. Jesse Siwiecki was another key player, putting up six points and nine rebounds.

Even though they lost, Clarion-Limestone smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in three consecutive contests.

Clarion-Limestone has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-10 record this season. Redbank Valley has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Lions take on the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Clarion-Limestone is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.2 points per game this season. As for Redbank Valley, they will take on Clarion Area at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
