Football Game Preview: Barberton Magics vs. Aurora Greenmen

The Barberton Magics will square off against the Aurora Greenmen at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Barberton has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with four straight losses, while Aurora will come in with three straight wins.

Barberton is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Copley on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Magics were beaten by the Indians 42-14. The Magics were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-0.

Meanwhile, Aurora took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 42-14 victory over Roosevelt. Considering the Greenmen have won four contests by more than 27 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Aurora now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Barberton, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.

Barberton was taken down by Aurora 53-3 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Magics were down 40-3.
