Basketball Game Preview: J.I. Burton Black Raiders vs. Union Bears

The J.I. Burton Black Raiders will face off against the Union Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Last Saturday, J.I. Burton came up short against George Wythe and fell 53-42.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Union). They claimed a resounding 59-22 victory over Lee. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Union's victory bumped their record up to 6-14. As for J.I. Burton, their loss dropped their record down to 17-2.

J.I. Burton was able to grind out a solid win over Union in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, winning 57-44. The rematch might be a little tougher for J.I. Burton since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
